Statement:

"I chose the profession of an artist because I can never stop wondering how beautiful is my country. I see the beauty in simple things, every day of life here is precious, and I'm so lucky that I can share my joy with others".

Biography:

Sergey Nebesikhin was born in Russia in 1964 in the town of Aleksandrov near the old city of Vladimir. Most of his childhood he spent in the Ural region in the village of Kosiya. After graduation from high school, he studied fine art in the Zagorsk Art Industry College (1979 – 1983) and Stroganov Moscow State Academy of Arts and Industry (1987 – 1992). Since 2000 he is a member of the prestigious Artists' Union of Russia and in 2004 he was elected to the Board of The Segiev-Posad branch of the Russian Union of Artists.
In search of artistic inspiration and by invitation he traveled across the country of Russia, painted in France and Italy.
Sergey’s exhibition list consists of a number of solo shows including one in the Department of Culture of Russian Federation(Moscow), many regional and international shows. He actively participates in many national and international plein air events. His paintings have been auctioned by John Nicholson Auction House (England) and Liladam Encheres S.A.R.L. (France).

Awards:

He is an awardee of the prestigious Silver medal and diploma “Spirit. Traditions. Craftsmanship” from The Russian Union of Artists for the excellence of oeuvre and promotion of Fine art in Russia. Sergey Nebisihin’s artistic style was recognized by art critics to be close to the brush of classic of Russian art Issak Levitan.
Nebesihin’s artworks are represented by a number of galleries and present in private collections in Russia and abroad. There quite a few museums that acquired his works: Novosibirsk State Art Museum, Museum and Exhibition Complex “New Jerusalem”, The Sergiev-Posad State Historical and Art Museum-Preserve, State Historical Architectural and Art Museum-preserve “Aleksandrovskaya Sloboda”, Aleksandrov Art Museum, Plyos Museum-preserve, State Vasnetsov Brothers Art Museum, Ivanov Museum of History etc.

Teaching:

“I want to help my students overcome technical difficulties and start painting free, finding joy of beauty while painting not far from the place they live in. I truly believe it's doable and it just needs regular practice.”
